- Blue Spinach (Redfern, by appointment). A consignment showroom for authenticated luxury, operating since 1996. Now appointment-only rather than walk-in, booked through their website. Best for verified designer handbags, shoes and womenswear.

The best single loop in the city for vintage and curated secondhand.

What to expect
Prices range from a few dollars at charity stores up to premium for curated and authenticated designer vintage. Charity shops tend to restock midweek after weekend donations, so Tuesday and Wednesday often bring the freshest racks. Selection varies a lot by location and by week, which is half the fun. Hours change, so it is worth checking before a special trip, especially for the smaller independents.
