How to Sell on Bushpop: The Complete Guide

Listing on Bushpop is free and takes minutes to start. The new marketplace is launching soon; this guide covers everything you will need: setting up your shop, photographing and pricing your items, posting a sale, getting paid and building a reputation that brings buyers back. If you just want the quick version, see the sell overview.

Getting started

Create a free account and set up your seller profile. Your profile is your shop, so add a clear profile photo, a short bio and your general location. Verify your email so buyers know you are a real seller, then connect a payment method so you can be paid after a sale. That is it: there are no listing fees and no subscription.

What sells well on Bushpop

Bushpop buyers are looking for preloved fashion at fair prices. The items that move fastest are:

Honest condition matters more than perfection. Clean, well-described items in "good" or "very good" condition sell reliably when they are priced sensibly.

Creating a listing that sells

A strong listing answers every question a buyer has before they need to ask. The three things that sell an item are clear photos, an accurate description and the right price.

Photography

Photos do most of the selling, so it is worth getting them right:

Writing your title

Put the most important details first so the listing is easy to find. Include the brand, item type, colour and size. For example: "Gorman leopard print blouse, size 10".

Writing your description

Describe the condition honestly using clear language, and disclose any flaws up front. Our condition guide explains what each grade means, from new with tags to well-loved. Include the brand, fabric and any fit notes, and always add measurements (see below). Buyers trust sellers who are upfront, and accurate listings mean fewer issues after the sale.

Sizing and measurements

Always include actual measurements taken flat: bust or chest, waist and length. Sizes vary a lot between brands and eras, so measurements are the single most useful thing you can give a buyer. Our how to measure a garment guide shows exactly where to take each measurement. Link the relevant brand size chart in your description too, especially for vintage and international labels, to help buyers choose with confidence.

Pricing your items

Price against the real secondhand market, not the original retail price. A useful starting point is the item's RRP adjusted for condition and demand: a near-new piece from a sought-after brand holds more of its value than a well-worn basic. Search other marketplaces for what comparable items actually sold for. Price fairly, but do not undervalue good pieces; you can always reduce the price later.

Shipping

You post sold items directly to the buyer. Keep it simple and reliable:

Getting paid

Listing is free. When your item sells, Bushpop deducts 1.75% + 30¢ before your payout lands, and that is the only seller fee. The buyer separately pays a Buyer Protection fee at checkout, so it never comes out of your payout. Exact payout mechanics will be confirmed when the marketplace launches.

Building your seller reputation

Repeat buyers come from good experiences. Reply to questions quickly, describe items accurately, post promptly and pack with care. Seller reviews are coming with the marketplace launch, and a track record of happy buyers will make every future listing easier to sell. Staying active and listing regularly also keeps your shop visible to buyers.
