How Bushpop Works

Bushpop is a peer-to-peer marketplace for secondhand fashion. The new marketplace is launching soon; here is how buying and selling will work. Sellers list their own items and post them directly to buyers, and Bushpop provides the marketplace, payments and messaging that make each sale simple and safe.

The basics

Every item on Bushpop comes from a real person clearing out their wardrobe. Sellers create listings with photos, measurements and a price. Buyers browse, ask questions and purchase. Once an item sells, the seller posts it straight to the buyer. We facilitate the transaction; we never take possession of the item.

For buyers

  1. Browse preloved pieces from sellers across Australia.
  2. Check the details: photos, measurements and condition. Message the seller with any questions before you buy.
  3. Buy with protection. A Buyer Protection fee applies at checkout on posted orders (free for local pickup), so every purchase is covered.
  4. Receive your item posted directly by the seller, with tracking.

For sellers

  1. List your item with a few photos, measurements and a price. Listing is free.
  2. Make the sale when a buyer purchases.
  3. Ship it within a couple of business days, with tracking.
  4. Get paid. We deduct 1.75% + 30¢ before your payout lands, and the rest is yours.

Trust and safety

Every order is covered by Buyer Protection, so buyers are protected if something goes wrong. Seller reviews are coming with the marketplace launch, so the community can buy with confidence as reputations build. If a dispute needs resolving, human support, based in Australia, is there to help.

Fees

Listing is free. There are no listing fees and no monthly fees. When an item sells, Bushpop takes 1.75% + 30¢ from the seller's payout, and that is the only seller fee.

Buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee of 4% of the item price plus 50¢ on posted orders, on top of the item price at checkout, with no cap. Local pickup orders pay no Buyer Protection fee at all. The fee is shown clearly before you pay and it covers payment processing, support and help resolving any issue with your order.
